Bondi Sands Dark Tanning Foam

Bondi Sands Dark Tanning Foam / $16.00 | Here
Bondi Sands Tanning Mitt / $6.00 | Here

Who would have ever thought I would be wearing fake tan in AUSTRALIA!? But, here I am.. Purchasing my first fake tan in I don't know how many years. With me being here in AUS & Bondi being not far off my doorstep, I thought it was only right I gave Bondi Sands a whirl! It's pretty cheap here too.

Now, lets start with the mitt. That mitt is the softest thing I have ever felt, genuinely love it. Most tan mitts go through me because of the feel of them & I don't like them at all. Hence me not wearing fake tan for years & years! Ain't no body got time to put tan on with their bare hands hey!? But, I really like this mitt. Well done Bondi Sands *thumbs up*

Next, the actual tan, the most important. I'm honestly not alllll that impressed with it. I expected it to be a lot better given the name & origin & considering most people in AUS are super tan & beaut. But nope, it's just not really kickin' it for me that much. I mean, as you can see from the images I am slightly darker, but considering this is the 'darkest' tan, it's not much of a change. It is a little blotchy too. However, I won't blame that all on the tan as I haven't exfoliated yet. I'm sat here at my desk at work with it in my bag & just had to urge to try it. I'm so impatient, I can't wait for anything haha. So, I will give it another go before once I've exfoliated to see if it's any better. The thing I do love about this though is the smell, the smell is literally lush! It's so sweet & literally makes you want to go to the beach with a cocktail - yum! But anyway, the scent is coconut as stated on the bottle - my fave!

For the price, the smell, the outcome & not forgetting my fave mitt! I would probably rate this tan around a 6/10. What's everyone else's fave tan? So far mine is the Lauren's Way lotion. I'll have to get my mitts (see what I did there? mwuaha) on it again for old times sake! :)

My Liebster Blogger Award

Isn't this just the nicest idea!? The Liebster Blogger Award is a way to promote us 'smaller bloggers' & find new bloggers to interact with/new content to read. I think it's great! It's annoying how these days followers seem to determine whether your blog is good or not.. & that is just not necessarily the case! So I hugely support this little trend! :D

Thank you to Nadia (nadiabarker.com) for nominating me. I absolutely love her blog so please check her out if you haven't already! <3 Now, sorry to be cheeky Nadia if you're reading! But I'm going to steal your rules so people know what this is! Forgive me hehe..

What are the rules of the Liebster Blogger Award?

1. Thank the person who nominated you and link their blog on your blog.
2. Display the award on your blog, whether in the dedicated blog post or as a ‘widget/gadget’.
3. Provide 11 random facts about yourself (totally optional).
4. Answer the eleven questions your nominee has specifically chosen for you.
5. Nominate up to 5 or 11 other small blogs with less than 3000 followers.
6. Create 11 of your own unique questions for your chosen nominees.
7. Let your nominees know your blog post is up and they have been nominated!

Nadia's Questions To Me

1. What made you start your blog?
I love photography & I love writing, but I've never wanted to really do either as an individual job, so I decided to combine the two in hopes that this could maybe be my job one day :) I also used to read blogs more than anything else for reviews & style inso ect as I prefer to read it from 'someone I know' rather than a random review online & I wanted to be able to do the same for others just like me :)

2. Who is your biggest inspiration in regards to the blogging/vlogging world?
I have so many it's actually ridicccc lol. But my main inspirations is my girl for life, Zeena (zeenaxena.com) who has now created her own blogging network may I add! (@blogginggals on insta & twitter). Couldn't be more proud of this girl & her work ethnic, get it girllll! & in the vlogging world I absolutely adore Gracie (graciefrancesca.com) She stands for positivity & self love, which in this world we live in today where we're constantly comparing ourselves to others & trying to be the media's idea of perfection, someone like Gracie is a breath of fresh air. Love you girls x

3. If you could only eat one thing for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Pizza. If it didn't me fat..... Who am I kiddin', few rolls never hurt nobody! ;) haha!

4. What one makeup item can you not live without?
My eyebrow pencil. I would happily wear no makeup for the rest of my days as long as my eyebrows be poppin' *clicks fingers*

5. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
I've always wanted to live in Australia... & currently I am here! :D Whether I'll stay here I'm not sure. After visiting Dubai, I am quite tempted to live there. However, I love good ol' sunny Spain & the culture/vibe there. Plus I've always wanted to learn the language so maybe that's my next stop - who knows!? The world is our oyster! :D

6. If you could meet anyone from history (dead or alive) who would it be and why?
If this question means history as in, any existence of life then I think I would love to have a chat with 2Pac. What a lyrical genius & a good heart! I would love to be homies with him & maybe make a rap song together. I swear I was born to be a rapper.. #thuglife

7. What are your top 3 movies of ALL time?
Fast & Furious - Vin Diesel is my dreammm in all of them movies!
Lion King 2 (I know all the words & the songs, don't judge me)
I really can't think of a 3rd on, one the spot now. All the films I've watched & I can't even think. Damn.

8. What makes you smile more than anything?
Snugs & smooches in the morning *blushes*. Every morning without fail before my boyfriend goes to work. He hugs me & kisses me & I just get that fuzzy feeling. Best feeling ever.

9. As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be a vet so bad. But then I watched a vet program one time & this lady had to put her hand up a cows bum... I soon changed my mind :)

10. What was your first job? Did you love it or hate it?
My first job was working in the beauty counter in Selfridges & I HATED IT! I loved being surrounded by amazing products all day. But most people who worked/shopped there were pretentious douche bags (excuse my language) & to say my colleagues earned the same wage as me (and as middle aged people) I'd say they had no right to be that way! Bunch of two faced tossers :)

11. What is your favourite hobby? (besides blogging)

This is tough as blogging is my ultimate fave. But even though I've not done it in awhile; I love drawing & writing poetry. I used to draw for hours & hours & same with poetry.. Once I start, I could sit there for hours!
I also love finding new shisha spots.... If that is classed as a hobby!? Haha!

Shelly Beach

Is there any more perfect way to spend a Sunday sunset than at the beach?

Me & Matthew headed back to Manly beach last week & whilst there we spotted another little beach in the distance & decided to make our way to it & that's where we discovered this little gem! Shelly Beach.
So much was going on here as well, it was such a cool environment. There was a big group of couples who were practicing some crazy gymnastics together, people playing their instruments in groups, some form of children's birthday party was set up & also just families enjoying their time together.
That's what I like about Australia.. People spend time so much together because there's loads to do outdoors. Here, it's such a different vibe & everyone really does just want to be happy.
I also relived a bit of childhood here too & climbed a tree! :D haha! Always wanted to climb a tree but never got round to doing it & this time I decided I would! Matthew also took some fab pics! The sunset was his picture taken from his phone & he also took that picture of me in the tree with my silhouette. He's getting good at this eye for photography stuff! I taught him well ;)
I think we'll definitely be spending more sunsets at the beach whilst we're here anyway. Time goes so fast, we've been gone over 2 months already! Got to make the most of things whilst it lasts ♡

BMCP Shisha Bar | #PaigesShishaTour

HALLELUJAH!!! Y'all know I'm a major shisha fan & since being here in Australia... It's been like finding a needle in a haystack trying to find a decent shisha bar. Last place I went to gave me one of them teeny tiny shishas.. The ones that I thought people only used for ornaments? :/ haha!

I've also not done a #paigesshisatour since I did my first one, despite being to a million (slight exaggeration) different ones all over the UK since I first posted one. Never mind, here's to world wide shisha finds! :D

So, here it is.. BMCP. The guys here are great. I messaged them on Facebook about opening times ect & I literally got a response within seconds! A few conversations later, our table was booked & we went on our way! It takes around an hour to get there via public transport as of course we don't have our cars here with us - sad times! But, I was so ready for travelling that distance to discover good shisha!

When we arrived, we was directed to go upstairs to the lounge where we was greeted by a lovely guy who said "Table for Paige? Table 4 there waiting for you :)" Fabulous customer service or what!? Didn't even need to introduce myself! What a guy! :)

As soon as I sat down, I spotted all the rap legends on the wall.. This is when I knew I'd found the right spot. Shisha + Hip Hop? Perfect. Not to mention all the cool light up chairs & funky flavoured shishas on the menu. We went for Ribena flavoured shisha.. Sounds good? It was! & it smoked really well too. Nothing annoys me more than going to a shisha bar where you can't even get a cloud of smoke, whats the point? :/

We also decided to break our healthy eating (just once, oops haha) to try one of their waffles & damn was it worth it! We both opted for the chocolate chip waffle which comes with crumbled oreos on top, smothered in lindt chocolate, as well as chocolate covered strawberries, bananas, ice cream & marshmallows - heaven!!!

I really enjoyed myself, I'm also now apart of their "Family & Friends" group on Facebook, feeling' like part of the team now ;) haha! If you guys at BMCP get to read this, I'm thoroughly grateful for a lovely evening & I will definitely be returning as soon as! :)

Rooftop View

I've only ever dreamed of being able to have this view from my home.. & now, it's a reality. Me & Matthew watched the sunset together yesterday from our rooftop & it was incredibly beautiful. If you have me on any of my social media, you've probably seen these images already, or at least 1 of the 3. I'm not usually one to boast or to brag about something I have. But when you've worked hard for something & you truly know you deserve to be here, then I'm not afraid to shout out to the world about it! :)
(I'm also glad to be out of that bloody 6 dorm hostel too haha!)

I also like to post my journey of being across the other side of the world to inspire others to want to do the same. I've already been told by so many people that they're "jealous" of what I'm doing or "wish" they were going travelling too ect. But all I can say back to it, even if it sounds cliche is.. Do it.

I don't know if you saw the post I did on the reasons it took me so long to get here but you can read it here if you missed it. It's basically just to tell you that you can do it if you really want it, no matter what gets in the way. I'm not rich, I don't have thousands & thousands of pounds, so it wasn't just easy for me to get here. But what I do have is a hard working ethnic & a strong mind of 'if I want something, I'm going to do it' & that's all it takes if you really want something :)

Also, now I'm settled into our apartment & I'm working & stuff.. The good ol' travel posts won't really be happening until the end of the year! :( But I am still going to spread my 'words of wisdom' ;) on here now & then & some general lifestyle & beauty posts like I did back home! :)

Either way, I hope you all still enjoy reading :)

Chinese Garden of Friendship

This place is absolutely beautiful & ever so peaceful. It's crazy that this is literally just down the road from all the hustle & bustle of the city, yet you feel like you're in a completely different world when you walked inside. Everything you look at is stunning. The water, the flowers, the buildings & the tiny little lizards that are wandering around. They're such cute little guys & they let you get pretty close before they get bored of looking at you & run away haha!

I definitely want to come back here when the weather gets a bit better. It was still warm today but it was mostly cloudy; I can only imagine how much more beautiful it will look when the sun is shining :D I also forgot to charge my Go Pro too.. I was planning on filming my walk around the place & creating a 'Tour of Sydney' kinda video when I've visited more places, but.. I forgot. Mind you, it's not the first time I forgot it, I forgot on both visits to the zoo as well, damn! :( ha.

Anyway, if you ever visit Sydney, I really recommend you visit this place. It's $6 each to get in but it's so worth it. They have a little cafe in there as well & also a place where you can dress up in Chinese clothing! :D Obvs I was totes up for that but I'll save it for the time I remember my Go Pro.. Silly me! Hope you enjoy the images! :)

Taronga Zoo

Before I get started, sorry that you have to stare at the spiders whilst you read the beginning of this post, at least they aren't above your head like they was mine! :'( haha! Anyway..

Today, we woke up with yet another beautiful, sunny day with no plans at all.. We sat contemplating what to do for awhile & then decided to head out to the zoo, yay! :D From where we are in Sydney, Taronga Zoo is only a short ferry ride away & the harbour is literally around the corner from where we're staying; so off we went! :D

As you can probably see from the images above, we managed to see some beautiful views on the way. Such as the famous Sydney Opera House, Sydney Harbour Bridge (you may even be able to make out the people at the top of it!) & Shark Island. When I went past shark island I got a bit excited thinking "it's called Shark Island for a reason, there must be some sharks around this place.." (for people that don't know me, I'm quite fascinated by sharks, Great Whites to be particular so that's why I was excited haha!) until seconds later after thinking that the tour on the ferry ruined my excitement & told us not to worry, there's no sharks & then onto the reason it got it's name :( but if you're interested in a little fact, then I may as well share it with you.. *clears throat* Shark Island got it's name from way back when the island used to be a quarantine for animals.. & if the animals died then they just threw them out to sea, which attracted all the sharks. Interesting fact huh!? You're welcome 8-)

Anyway, once we got to the zoo, I was ready to go in with full force! Or so I thought I would.. but Matthew, being Matthew, has to read the map & know where everything is. I have no patience with that stuff & just like to go for it! :D But yeah, we looked at the map & decided to check out the koala bears first. It made sense with it being the closest thing to us & after all, we are in Australia right!? :D They were super cute & just wrapped their cute little arms round the branches. I wanted to jump in & cuddle one :(

Then we headed to the reptiles & saw some cute little guys & some scary crocs - crikey mate! hahaha, actually lol'ing to myself writing this. Have to mingle in with the Australian life right? :)

I added some funny pictures of the animals here where I made little stories up in my head. The gorilla & elephant are my fave. The gorilla looks totally pissed off, he even side eyed me at one point as if to say "don't just stand there & look at me, help me get to this sexy mama on the other side of this door" haha! He wasn't trapped in a small space don't worry. He had loads of other places to move to. I just thought this snap made a funny story :) & the elephant was tapping that door with his foot as if to be saying to his wife "C'mon now Barbs, let me back in would ya!? I've learnt my lesson.." haha! He had plenty of space also & could easily get through, through another area of where he was but he was being stubborn & wanted the door opening haha. I love animals they're the best <3

Right, I think I'll stop it there. I won't bore you by describing every single part of the zoo. I also didn't take pictures of every animal due to my camera dying also. Every time I've ever been to the zoo I've always forgot to charge my camera, what a numpty!? But yeah, hope you enjoyed my pictures & my little made up stories of the animals! :D Until next time.... :)

Bronte & Bondi Beach

The first thing I needed to do when I got to Sydney, was visit the beach! I've been drooling over them for months, constantly counting down the days until having a beautiful beach on my doorstep was a reality.. & here I am! Luckily, after a few days of basically just sleeping to get over our jet lag, our hostel was putting on a BBQ at Bronte & then doing a scenic walk over to Bondi. Obvs this was a good enough reason for me to get my ass into gear because who is gonna miss a day at the beach!? Not me! ^_^ We had such beautiful weather that day too, which was lucky! I was expecting it to be "cold", well, as cold as it gets for Sydney anyway as it's technically Autumn here now. But it's been no less than 30 degrees since we got here. Fabulous news! :D Both beaches are stunning & I'm happy to lay there all day on any of them; but I must admit that Bronte definitely stole my heart over the famous Bondi. Bronte is a lot smaller & feels more private. It also has a swimming pool that's separated from the sea by rocks. Which is great if you don't wanna get eaten by sharks & what ever else is in the Australian sea! Haha! Bronte also has grassy area with small huts where you can have your BBQ. The cooking stands are built in so anyone can take their own food down & have a BBQ, how great is that!? <3 I wish I had taken more pictures of the day to show you but it's one of them where everything is so overwhelming & beautiful that you're lost in the moment & only realise you didn't take enough pictures when it comes to looking back on them.. Never mind. I am in Australia for at least a year if I want to be so I'm sure I will have so many more opportunities to show you the amazing beaches here. A surf dude guy told me there's around 11,000 different ones! Crazy right!? I'm happy to go visit them all! :D Haha. Ps. Bondi is the last picture! :)

Dubai

We made it! Here we are in one of the most incredible countries in the world! Dubai. I'm so glad we decided to stop off here for a couple nights to break up our flight. I can't even describe how amazing this place is. Everywhere is so classy & prim & proper, yet so chilled & laid back too. Every restaurant looked stunning & the beaches are breath taking. Unfortunately we didn't actually spend a day on the beach because we were too intrigued to find out what the city had to offer. We visited most of the main things to see such as JBR Walk, Dubai Mall & the Burj Khalifa. JBR Walk is where most of the restaurants are & a few shopping stores. It's also right next to the beach where they have cute beach bars & restaurants also.. & not to forget, shish places which everyone should know by now is one of my fave things to do in my spare time. Dubai Mall is just insane. The place has friggin' sharks in it for gods sake! It's not everyday you see sharks & sting rays in a shopping mall is it? Haha! They are in an aquarium, don't worry ;). Burj Khalifa.. I'm sure you've all heard of this place. It's the tallest building in the world & it's so bloody hard to get the whole of it in one shot! It's incredible!! Everything is just a WOW factor, I can't believe so many amazing sites are all crammed into one place.. & that's not it yet. There is SO much building work going on there so I am excited to find out what Dubai will look like when it's finished. Although I've not yet travelled Australia, which is the main thing I'm set to do on my travels, my heart is kinda set on living here already. It's such a beautiful place. Either way, just from a couple nights exploring a different life, I've decided England isn't the place for me & I've made the decision of hopefully settling down over seas. Life has so much to offer! So if you're sat back home reading my post feeling depressed or jealous... Go make it happen! Seeing the world will be the best thing you ever do & the biggest regret if you don't :) Dubai, see you again sometime! <3
