Gothic Makeup

I just love a gothic makeup look! I so wish I was brave enough to just go out in public wearing it. I always think I look 'over-done' when I put a full face of makeup on where as in reality, I probably just look like every other girl who wears makeup. I dunno, maybe I should stop being so lazy every day & start wearing more makeup! :D Anyway, back to the post.. I used the colours from my £4 Revolution makeup palette to achieve this look along with a black sparkly one from MAC (I don't know the colour - sorry!). It was pretty simple to do really, it's all about layering up the colours I guess. It's so hard to explain on a blog post how I do my makeup, but I promise it's simple! You know me, I never even know what kind of brushes I use which just shows how 'professional' I am! Haha! Ah well, that's why I like doing my blog, to show you guys that there is still people out there than can do makeup & make a blog, even if you don't know how to do everything the 'right' way! ^_^ Maybe I'll make a video tutorial on my YouTube channel when I finally get back to it! Every time I get the motivation for it, something sets me back, but I'll get there! :D Would you guys like to see me back on YouTube? :)

Mini Superdrug Haul

*See's 3for2 offer through Superdrug window.. Can't resist walking in* < That's exactly what happened to me Saturday morning when I went into Superdrug. Gets me every time! Haha! But to be honest, I needed some new little bits, foundation especially so I made the most of the offer! I mentioned not long ago I wanted to try a new foundation as I've always wore MAC Fix Fluid since I was like 18. Although I love it, I was getting a bit bored, us girls love faffing about with new products so I opted for the Bourjois 123 Perfect in shade 54 Beige. I must admit I LOVE this foundation, looks flawless on the skin & has a beautiful consistency! The only thing I don't like is the shades. I find most drugstore foundations are either orangey or pink & my skin is more yellow. Well, not Simpson yellow of course haha! But that's why I usually stick to MAC as their tones are perfect for my skin. It seems to match as I put it on & then dries a slightly different colour, it's still wearable & no one would probably notice but it's just me being a typical girl that notices every thing that they think is wrong! I also ended up buying another Kate Moss lipstick thinking it was a new shade to me, only to find out it's the same shade I did a post on last year - oops! Ah well, I've obviously lost it for me to not notice I was buying the same one haha. I also ended up buying fake tan for the first time in 2 years!! God knows why I hate the stuff! But I guess I wanted to be super brown for Saturday night considering I was whipping the legs out ;) It was actually a really nice tan colour, not orangey at all & to say it was only £3.99 as well, not bad! Love a good bargain I do! :D Anyhow, I think the offer is still on so head down to your local Superdrug to make use of the 3for2! :D

Health Kick's Back!

Good morning! Excuse my mini disappearance over the weekend, one was enjoying late birthday celebrations! ^_^ But there's no excuses now my birthday has gone not to get back into my healthy lifestyle! I was doing really well at the beginning of this year & then things happened to set me back & now I'm on it again! :D I've also got my Mum on it too ;) We decided to have something simple for breakfast along with a bottle of water & a green tea with lemon. I did want to make us a nice omelette (I'm the omelette master if I do say so myself!) but we didn't have enough eggs in so I'll make that for us tomorrow! So instead, a couple sausages & a fried egg had to do; bacon for my Mum also but I can't stand the stuff ha! :) I'm also going back to the gym tonight with my best friend Robyn. She recently got engaged to her boyfriend, on my birthday actually! Double celebrations all round!! :D So we're back to the gym to get us bride & bridesmaid ready! Insanity here we come!!! #determination

London

Let me just start with.. I absolutely LOVE London! :D The last time I visited was last Christmas & I loved it as much as I did then, now. Me & my friend Tilly went to visit our friend Rourke the day after my birthday as a little birthday shin-dig & of course a catch up! We was only there a night & a day so we didn't get chance to do much but with what time we did have we enjoyed ourselves! :) On the first night we went for tea & then bowling afterwards which was fun, I haven't bowled in agesss! After that we just went back to Rourke's apartment, got in bed, watched TV & went to sleep so we was fresh for the next day! :D Our day was quite spontaneous to be honest, let me tell you why now! Well, we was casually strolling across South Bank to head to a cute little pancake shop when a guy from ITV dashed over to us & asked if we wanted to be in the live audience for Loose Women that day. We all just looked at each like "uh yeahhh, pancakes will HAVE to wait!" haha! So in we went, we sat down & next minute the show started. It all happened so fast that we couldn't quite believe it but it was good :) Alsoooo, we got offered tickets for another show for helping out. So we chose Alan Carr's Chatty Man so be sure to keep an eye out for us on in the next few weeks ;) haha! After the show, we finally headed for pancakes; which were SO delicious may I add & then carried on to Spittalfields market. Omg I loved it there! The stalls were so cute & vintage looking, I love that kinda stuff, especially the old perfume store where they had a collection of Chanel perfumes - beaut! I wish we would have went for longer so we could have done more but I'm sure Rourke won't mind us visiting her again soon, right Rourke? ;) haha! Ahh so miss it already & we only got back early hours of this morning. If I don't move abroad one day, London is where it's at! :D

The Curls Are Back!

Well hello there curly mop! It's been awhile since I've seen you! :) For some reason I've had my hair straight for quite a bit now so I thought it was time the curls returned! I love wearing my hair curly, it's so much easier to maintain. People often complain that curly hair is hard to maintain but I prefer it. Reason being, it can be a big mess & it still looks good! Or at least looks like it's supposed to be like that.. Where as with straight hair, if it's not fully straight, there's a problem! Ain't no body got time for kinks! Haha :D I wanted it have it curly sooner but I liked having curls in my hair done with the GHD's & that's impossible to do from curly hair so I've had it straight so I had more options. But, the curly hair will probably be back for a bit now - we'll see! :D For anyone wondering how I get my hair like this, it's with the Lee Stafford Chopstick Styler - check it out you'll love it!!♡

Awww my Uncle only came round & made me breakfast in bed didn't he!? How frickin' cute!? He bought that little tray & everything! These are the things that make birthday's or any day special! My Uncle Kev knows I love a good sausage & egg butty in the morning, so to say he came here this morning, made it & brought it up for me was just really nice, he even put 2 little roses on the side for me, aww! Thanks Uncle Kev, you're a bloody star!! :D

I'm Feeling 22!

Well, today I woke up a year older! 22! Blimey I feel old, it was literally only the other day I was 12! Okay, obviously it wasn't only the other day, but it sure does feel like it! :O Momma came in my room as soon as she got up & started snapping away at me reading all my birthday messages from everyone on my phone, what's she like ay!? I love reading birthday messages, especially in cards. I'm such a geek like that! I prefer thoughtful things than material things so reading memories & nice words off everyone I love makes my day! :D My Mum's & my Brother's card made me want to cry, so thought I'd share them with you. My brothers was short & sweet but the fact he put "from your hero x" at the bottom got to me! He knows he's always been my hero & he's pretty much always the first person I want when I'm sad :) & well my Mum, my Mum is my bestest friend in the whole world & she always makes me smile with the things she says. Love you Mum if you're reading & love to everyone who has sent me birthday wishes today, love you all & see most of you later! :D♡

Revolution | MUA Makeup

Whoops! I feel like I've been gone for ages & it's only been 2 days! Anyway, I'm back with a mini haul of some items I was in need of! Both of these brands are only available from Superdrug. I've bought products from MUA for awhile now but I only discovered the Revolution brand the other day. Both of these brands are super affordable & are really good products. The eyeshadow palette was an amazing £4!! I know, I still couldn't quite believe it myself. The colours are so pigmented & they practically mirror the Naked 3 palette I think. Again, because I'm rubbish with my camera & just have it on auto with the flash (until I figure out how to use all the fancy options haha!) the colours look a little brighter. But honestly, check it out in store & just look at how beautiful it is!! They have a load of other palettes for £4 too, I should have bought them all! :D The liquid concealer was £2, the stick concealer was £1 & the clear mascara (I use it for my eyebrows) was £1 also. All of that for a cracking £8!!! Was almost crying happy tears at the till to the lady with excitement haha! I love a good bargain! ;) But yeah, head to your nearest Superdrug, preferably one of the bigger stores & you should be able to find both brands! Let me know if you purchase anything, I'll be sure to check them out :D

YSL Overload

♡_♡ Have you ever seen so much beautifulness in one picture? Like wow, no one could ever make packaging better than YSL. So luxurious & classy, love it! Anything gold I love though to be honest, I even bought the Shu Uemura eyelash curlers because they were gold - oops! Haha! Anyway, other than the packaging, these products are all beautiful. The lipsticks glide on so easy & the pigments are great! The picture doesn't make up for it really because I was using my flash in funny lighting, but I assure you if you bought any of the YSL lip collection you'll fall in love! My absolute FAVE product though is that highlighter, like, wow. It looks absolutely gorgeous on! I'd say it's more a night time look though as it actually brings off speckles of glitter, so not something you want too much of in the day - unless of course you still have hot weather where ever you love & you want the sun to show off the sparkles on your face... Waaaa that's enough about hot weather, it's so cold here in Manchester, totally in need of another holiday ASAP! As for the eyeshadow palette, I love that too! However I probably wouldn't create a look from all those colours at once as they're all shimmery & too much shimmer isn't a good look for me! So I'd probably use one of the gold colours on the lid & blend in a warm brown matte shade in the crease, adding the lightest shade on the brown bone - beautiful! If you ever get chance to get hold of some of these products, please do! The highlighter especially! :D♡

Wine Makeup Look

Brr the weather is cold today! Can't you tell winter is on it's way!? With that, I was feeling to do another fall look, this being it! :D I decided to add a bit of a wine coloured shadow in with the eyes; rather than just the statement lip to jazz it up a little! I don't think it's something I'd be brave enough to wear out in the day but maybe for like a christmas party in the evening or something perhaps!? What do you guys think? I just think if I had brown eyes I would love this look so much more! I often don't like how a lot of makeup looks with my blue eyes :( wahhh! It looks very cold looking with my eye colour.. However, I suppose it was a look inspired by the cold freakin' weather! Haha! :D Going to go run myself a hot bath now & relax, yeahhh!♡

Sunset Eyes

Wow, talk about bright!? Haha! Ah well, I suppose I did say I say I was going to go a little crazy with the colours & I was always feeling the 'sunset' kinda colours when I opened my new eyeshadow palette.. So here's what I did! :D It's not my fave & if I actually took a bit of time on it, maybe I could have made it better. But considering I was just way too excited to whack every colour going on my eyes, I'm not surprised it looked like this! Haha! I do kinda like it in a way, reminds me of summer! Oh how I wish we was back in summer, this cold weather is driving me crazy! All I want to do is stay in bed all day, in my dressing gown with a nice hot choccy or a cup of tea! Typical Brit ay? Haha! :)

LAROC 120 Colour Makeup Palette

Holy moly my eyeshadow palette has FINALLY arrived, yesss! Don't you just love all those colours!? When it came in the post before I literally did a silly girly squeal, jumped off my seat & ran to the letter box to pick it up. Cannot wait to get my mits on it & whack some funky colours on my eyes. Maybe like, some sunset colours or something? They're the ones that caught my eyes first & considering we're in fall, why not!? Woohoo, be back shortly with some funky sunset eyes :D

Halloween Prep

Okaaay, halloween is definitely creeping' up on us quickly so I thought it was about time I got some kind of outfit ready.. I didn't want to be the only person who is last minute as always, every year I do it! Maybe I'll just be a typical zombie like everyone else, beats a cat that I usually dress up as though! :D I know, you're probably thinking 'a cat?' But, I hate anything scary haha! I did make my cat a little scary last year as I bought cat eye contacts & they were really weird! I'm thinking of buying all black ones this time or maybe red ones.. What do you think? Also, my eyeshadow palette should be here soon & I have a makeup look in mind that I want to do now I have an outfit in place so I'm looking forward to trying that out! :D How are you getting on with your Halloween prep?

Fuller Lips | Cheryl's Nude

Easy now any male readers! The title is not what you think! ;) I am SO loving my first attempt at fuller lips. I honestly have ever even tried this before! But last night I went out for tea & wanted to try something different without actually looking much different as I still wanted to wear the makeup I usually wear. So, I thought, why not see what I look like with a fuller lip & blinking heck I don't know why I haven't done this sooner! I love it! I took the Topshop lip liner in Ceramic I mentioned to you guys in one of my recent posts & teamed it up with Cheryl's Nude by L'Oreal. Dream match made in heaven! Love the combo of them two together. I'm going to try this with other liners I have that are similar to some of my lipsticks, or maybe I'll just purchase some new ones so it's even more fun! Oh it's so easy to make a girl happy! :)

Subtle Makeup

The experiment of bright colours lasted long didn't it? O_O haha! Just kiddin', I will be doing more brighter looks but when I have places to go, I like to keep my makeup more subtle & natural; if any at all somedays! Today I used minimal products. My MAC Studio Fix in NC35, Illamasqua's Sculpting Powder Duo, Topshop's lip liner in Ceramic (one of my fave colours!), Avon's Anew Lip Plumping lip stick & my L'Oreal False Lash Telescopic mascara. This literally took me 5 minutes if that, super simple & fast. Good for those of you who are busy in the mornings with not much time on your hands. Sometimes all you need is literally a touch of mascara & a bit of lippy & you're good to go! :D Also, do any of you recommend any good foundations? As you can probably see in the picture above, I'm running low on mine & I really want to try something new. I love the texture of the one I'm using but I've been using that one for years & I really want a change! Anyone able to help? Feel free to recommend any products in fact, I'm always willing to try out new stuff! :D

Facemask Day with AshleighBeauty

Good afternoon my fellow beautifuls! Today was a much needed pamper day! Me & my beauty blogger babe Ashleigh (www.ashleighbeauty.co.uk) have spent the last few days together in her new apartment; celebrating basically! Which can only mean one thing.. A little too much junk food & champagne, oops! So today we thought we'd get the face masks out, keep the PJ's on (how cute are the little dogs on my pi's?♡) & get rid of the junk & relaxxx, so that's what we've done! Our skin feels amazing after them as well, oh so soft! I love the face masks from Superdrug, cheap & cheerful.. & of course they do their job! What more could we want? :) Also, with the weather turning cold, it can be tough on our skin, so a face mask once a week will never go a miss in the winter months! Be sure to try them, they're on offer at the moment, 3for2! Hope you're all having a lovely day! :)♡

Pop of Colour

Hello, hello, hello! What crazy weather we have in Manchester today! One minute it's gloomy, the next it's sunny & now it's raining as we speak! But, whatever the weather, I'm adding a pop of colour to the day! I look so weird with bright lips, I'm sure I've told you guys I only really tend to wear nude/natural lip colours haha. But recently, I'm loving experimenting with brighter colours, today being one of those days! I also ordered an eyeshadow palette this morning with lots of bright colours in! Eeek, so excited for it to arrive! I'm sure I'll be coming up with some crazy looks when I get my hands on it, as well as some more spooky ones for halloween.. Considering it's only around the corner now - waaa! Hope you beauties are having a lovely day anyway? :)♡

Winter Warmer | OOTD

Brr, it's cold today! Crikey! I really cannot be doing with this weather. I mean, I do love a good cosy day in, but when you have to leave the house, it's really not my kinda weather! I definitely need to be back on another plane to a sunny country sometime soon! BUT, to warm up the day, I shoved on a big cosy jumper, some skinny jeans & some wedge sneaks - comfy & casual! I also had to whip out the sunglasses as it's quite a bright day today. Sunglasses are a must when having to drive whilst it's bright.. I can always try & pretend it's warm & sunny & that's why Im wearing them?... Ok, maybe not, it's way to chilly for that! Haha! Might have to pop to Costa for a nice hot choc & marshmallows, mmm!♡
