Tom Ford Color Quad

Tom Ford Color Quad in shade 03 Cocoa Mirage, what a beauty! As you probably know, if I'm going to wear any eye shadows, it's usually nudes/browns as I'm very simple. So when this was gifted to me my by my favourite MUA - Tam Ahmed, I was overwhelmed. If you're reading this Tam, thank you once again!^_^ The shadows are so velvety & beautiful to put on, even the packaging is amazing! It comes in a shiny deep brown box with gold lettering & a suede feel pouch to put the gorgeous palette in. I don't think Tom Ford could have done a better job with his presentation, presentation is EVERYTHING. Anything that is packaged with gold always makes me happy, it just always look so sleek & sophisticated, which is everything a lady loves!^_^ I am super thrilled with this palette & I can't wait to use it for a full make-up look, keep a look out beauties!^_^

Morning Fashion Read

It's been so long since I actually sat down at my table with a nice cold glass of water in the morning, reading my H&M mag. This one came in the post recently so I'm finally going to read it. I'm loving the page shown on the picture, it's definitely made me want to go crazy with the Christmas patterns this year! I'm even thinking of buying Christmas decorations for my room with yummy scented candles to really set the mood - eek! I'm such a child when it comes to this time of year, festive spirit! I remember when I was little & me, my Mum & Dad would go into the local park, chop down some little branches, spray paint them silver; topped with snow spray & cover our living room ceiling with them & hang false apples & robin birds from them. Ahhh, it was like my own little lapland in my house! Well, not quite, but it was a great effort! What I'd do to be young again^_^

Costa

YUMMY!!! I love the Christmas specials at Costa! In case you can't already tell what it was I chose to get; it was the white hot chocolate, so delicious! I'd been rushing around all day today around the Trafford Centre trying to find the perfect dress for my Christmas do. Did I succeed? Did I hell! Do I ever when it comes to shopping? The only time I  ever buy anything that I want/need is when I'm not looking for it - such a pain! Although I did find one dress in Topshop but because it's me & I have no luck, they didn't have my size & it's not on the website - greattttt! Wahhhh, hopefully I'll find one soon because it's creeping up on me quickly! When are your Christmas night out beauties? & have you had any luck with the perfect party dress? If so, please help!^_^

Tartan Night Shirt

Here it is guys! Here's my super cosey night shirt I mentioned in my previous post that I purchased today - love it! It was from Primark & priced at £7, not bad really!^_^ Had a nice night in with my Mum, Dad, best friend & of course, Samson my akita^_^ We watched X-Factor & I'm A Celeb. If any of you watched any of the shows, what did you think? I'm kinda glad Hannah went from X-Factor, she could sing but I didn't really enjoy listening to her, did you? I'm also growing to like Joey Essex. I hate the program he's from but in I'm A Celeb; I'm finding him quite funny, even if he is seriously stupid! Ha! What did you guys get up to this evening? Hope you had a good night!^_^

Dunham Park

Dunham Park, my favourite place to go for a walk. Especially at this time of the year with all the winter leaves falling about the place. I love how all the deers are wandering around as well & they actually don't mind you going pretty close to them. Deers are one of my favourite animals, probably from watching Bambi over & over again when I was little… Maybe even a couple of times now still? Haha^_^ The picture I have taken of one looks a lot more further away than I actually was - stupid camera. I'm even more in the mood for Christmas now! Visiting the markets last night, walk around Dunham today - eeek!!

Christmas Markets

Yay, the German markets have arrived! This is my favourite time of year, everyone is always so cheerful & in the festive feeling, love it! Unfortunately, we got to the markets a tad too late this time & most of them were closed or were closing so there wasn't much to see. Don't worry though, one will be going again shortly!^_^ I'm just glad I got chance to grab me a hot chocolate & some lovely sweet treats, yummy!! Excited to be visiting them again soon, earlier this time!^_^

Benefit - They're Real Mascara

I've been dying to try this mascara since I saw it on a stand in Boots but wasn't fond of the £19.50 price. However, yesterday I went to an event at Manchester Airport with Matthew where they put a sale on the duty free items for members of staff (Matthew works at the airport). So, it only meant one thing - purchase the mascara! I got it for £13. Not bad really considering some high street brands are £10-£13 these days! I kinda like it if I'm honest. Usually I just stick to what I know which is my Bourjois Volume Clubbing mascara, but it's nice to have a change sometimes. Another thing I'm not usually fond of is the plastic brushes on mascaras, which this one so happens to have. It's not actually bad though, it's puts the mascara on nicely. Of course because it's new it goes on a little thick as you can see, but to be fair, I did layer it on quite a bit - oops! I don't usually like to wear mascara as thick as I've done it on the picture but I wanted to show you how thick you can actually get it to go. I didn't do my bottom lashes because I never wear mascara on the bottoms really, mainly because my lashes overtake my face if I put it on both - meh! Overall though, I really am  quite fond of this mascara. I'd like to purchase it again, even if it's £19.50! Haha!^_^

Simple Smokey Eye

Brr, today is super cold! Luckily it's my first of four days off, so I stayed in bed a little longer today. When I finally decided to get up, I pulled out my make-up & had a play around with it. Reason being it's my Christmas party on 8th December & I really want to have it all planned out! I know, it's a bit away yet but I'm a nightmare for being organised so I wanted to practice a few different looks so I know what to go for. As you can probably tell, this is just a simple smokey eye. Bit of eyeliner used along my lash line with a bit of black eyeshadow smudge in, with a hint of glittery grey. Don't know if  you can really see it but I like it! & then a touch of brown in the crease to warm it up a bit. Having blue eyes alongside a dark smokey eye always makes my skin appear washed out, where a bit of brown warms it up a little I think!^_^ Then to top it off I added a layer of mascara & contoured/highlighted my cheeks. What do you think? Too simple or just right? I'm not sure it's the one but I do like it!

Shu Uemura Eyelash Curlers

After doing my everyday make-up post recently, I decided to dedicate a post to my favourite make-up tool - the beloved Shu Uemura eyelash curlers! It took me awhile to talk myself into buying these as they're £20! I mean, £20 for eyelash curlers? C'mon.. But I remember trying them back when I was 16 & used to work in Selfridges- first job awww! My aunty worked on the Shu Uemura counter & I went over to her on my break once & she couldn't wait to use them on my lashes! She did, I fell in love & have wanted them ever since. Why it's taken me 5 years I don't know haha! But they're amazing. The fact they had the limited edition 24k gold ones in stock as well; how could I not!?^_^ If I have to criticise them in any way, it would be the fact they don't open very much, which is difficult for us folk with spider lashes! Apart from that, they curl amazingly & hold the curl pretty much all day - winner!^_^

Everyday Makeup Look

Three main things I get complimented on/asked about on a day-to-day basis; mainly at work or just out & about are - my eyebrows, my cheekbones & my eyelashes. Which so happen to be the 3 things I like to enhance. I'll be honest, as much as I LOVE make-up & love playing around with it, I hate wearing a full face of it on a day-to-day basis. Hate it. I mean, no doubt I probably look better with it & it'll last all day but I just feel more fresh with out it. So I try to go for the whole 'less is more' kind of look.^_^ What products do I use & how do I use them? Let's start with the eyebrows as that's the only thing I don't like to not be done if I'm going to be leaving the house! Alls I do with them is brush them into place with a clear mascara (yep, it's cheaper than buying an actual brow gel & it does the same job) & fill them in with my Rimmel eyebrow pencil in shade Black/Brown. The next thing I do is my eyelashes. I don't often wear mascara every day but I always curl them using the Shu Uemura eyelash curler - absolute fave tool in the world! Then if I'm feeling like I want to add a little more make-up with out going too crazy I will contour & sometimes highlight my cheeks with the Sleek Contour Kit in shade Medium. Contouring is an amazing way to enhance your cheekbones! Shadowing under them & highlighting the top of them really bring them out & look more defined. I will do a more in depth post on contouring shortly as it's one of my fave things to do!^_^

Christmas Shopping!

Eeeek! Don't you just love looking at Christmas things!? I know it's a little early only being November & what not but I must admit, I do love getting into the Christmas spirit!^_^ I had a stroll around the Trafford Centre this evening for little bits & bobs. John Lewis is always a great place to find cute little gifts! Something I realised whilst strolling around is.. I never really appreciate how beautiful this shopping centre actually is. People from all over the country travel to see it & I just walk in & out like it's nothing! Maybe next time, I'll take proper pictures off the whole place! (Well, maybe not the whole place but as much as I can) & show it to you all, you'll be amazed if you've never been before!^_^ I'm off to the Christmas markets this weekend as well, they're my favourite thing at this time of year. Hot chocolates & warm waffles with strawberries - yum yum! We all have a little indulge at Christmas, we're allowed to!^_~
